Our Story Starts With An Aspiration To Do Better
BETTER FOR OUR SKIN. BETTER FOR OUR COMMUNITY. BETTER FOR OUR PLANET.Have you ever found yourself in the soap isle, glazed over by so many low quality options and wanting for something better? That’s precisely where our founder, Stacy, found herself one day. Bewildered by the wall of plastics, industrial era bar soaps, and endocrine-disrupting fragrances. That moment left her wondering why humanity didn’t put more thought into the ingredients we put on our skin and down our drains. It’s a moment that stuck with her and inspired her to dig deeper and look for a way to do better.
She set out to make an eco-friendly soap that was truly made from nature. The result was a biodegradable bar soap with loads of lather that leaves your skin feeling healthy.
Now, our handmade soap can be found in National Parks and zero waste stores across the country. We’ve become a personal care brand that makes products that are good for your skin, and the planet. From lip balms to bath salt, we pride ourselves on putting the same love and care into each of our products as we did those first bars of soap.
Our Vision
At Mountain Time Soap, we know that life happens outside. It happens around a campfire, a walk in the neighborhood, or on a boat in the middle of the ocean. Everything else is only possible because of trees, winds, and tides.
Our love of the outdoors and our community made us want for better. We found a way to protect our planet and love on our people by creating a natural soap.
We believe that each wash is a fresh start. We believe in a world where if you pack it in, you pack it out. We are leave no trace kind of people, and we hope to inspire others to do the same.

Meet Our Founder
cheers, stacyI started this journey on a mission to reduce toxic chemicals and plastic waste from my life. In 2013, I made my first bar of soap with ingredients that I felt good about. I was adamant about not using fragrance oils or artificial colors, both of which are still common ingredients in the “natural” soap industry today. Over the last decade, making soap for my community has become my love language. We’re creating a product at Mountain Time Soap that has the ability to make a positive impact on someone’s life every single day, which is an opportunity we don’t take lightly. We strategically use aromatherapy to boost your mood, bring you comfort, and leave you with a feeling of well-being. From washing your hands in the backcountry, to teaching your children the importance of hand washing at the kitchen sink, I hope you feel the joy and love I put into making your soap.
Adventure on, wash your spirit clean.
Mountain Time State Of Mind
To us, Mountain Time isn’t simply defined by a geographical region to set your clocks to. It’s about being present in the moment. It’s about connecting with nature and honoring the spirit of life. It’s a place where adventure happens and anything is possible. It’s an opportunity to break down barriers and provide for our neighbors. Whether we’re climbing a peak or mixing up a fresh batch of soap, we’re always in a Mountain Time state of mind.
